Sydney Aquarium

On Friday, it was another overcast, windy day with a few showers, so we decided to visit the Sydney Aquarium. What a fantastic place. They have recreated the Great Barrier Reef inside the Aquarium. We got to walk under the water (in glass tunnels) to look at the fish swimming around us. We also took the glass bottom boat ride to view them from the top. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Yes, this is the famous Duck Billed Platypus

Lots of weird creatures of the sea.

Lots of pretty coloured fish

 Who doesn't love the Penguins

Lots of Sting Rays and Sharks
 Sleeping Leopard Shark

Lots of colouful vegetation

Fish feeding frenzy

  1. That aquarium looks awesome! I'm so glad you got to see the platypus, what trip to Australia would be complete without a platypus :)

  2. The girls were really excited to hear about the platypus. Not surprisingly, Caitlin knew about them and their "duck beak and beaver tail". She wasn't sure if they had webbed feet or not. I'll show them the picture tonight so they can see.
