Today (Monday), we took our second tour out into the countryside to the Hunter Valley, where the Australian wine industry got it's start in 1825. It was a great trip in a small bus with only 12 participants. The two leaders did an excellent job navigating us around the wine region. Part of our tour included a gourmet luncheon, which was outstanding. We tasted some incredible wines, all from small boutique wineries. We ended up purchasing 4 bottles to take with us (home or onto our cruise). It was a fun day in beautiful warm sunshine.
