Hobart, Tasmania

We spent today (Tuesday) in Hobart, the largest city in Tasmania, which is not very big (127,000).  Tasmania was started as a British penal colony at Hobart.  It is a quaint town with an historic harbour area that has been completely restored. It is a very pretty place.

Some replica sailing ships were in port for the recent boat show.

The Parliament Building for the State of Tasmania
 Salamanca Place (restored waterfront area)
Beautiful restored cottages from old officers barracks

Our beautiful ship in Hobart harbour

The pilot had a tough time getting off the ship as the sea was getting rough
